BROOKLYN -

Police have made a third arrest in connection with a violent home invasion robbery in Marine Park.

Last month, police say 20-year-old Tyrique Rushing and two others broke into at a home near Madison Place and Avenue R, slashed a 72-year-old man in the face and sexually assaulted his 71-year-old wife.

Police say the suspects stole the couple's car and a gun from the home.

Rushing was extradited to New York from Missouri Friday night.

The other two suspects are facing charges of attempted murder, assault, burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.

News 12 is told that the male victim is a retired NYPD officer.
