New video has been released of the man police say raped a woman just outside Prospect Park.
It happened Sunday, Nov. 18 around 4 a.m. near Parkside Avenue and Parade Place.
The new surveillance video was released by the NYPD overnight of the man they believe attacked a 59-year-old woman.
Police say the video came from the Franklin Street 2 and 3 station.
Investigators say the man came up behind the woman as she walked along Parkside Avenue. He then put her in a chokehold and told her he had a gun and a knife. He pushed her up against a van and tried to sexually assault her.
When he was unable to, police say he push her behind a park bench and raped her and then broke the window of a parked white Ford Econoline van with a green and while logo on its side. He then forced her inside the van and tried to sexually assault her again but was unable to.
The man took $10 from her purse and told her to leave.
Police say he is between 25 and 35 years old and was last seen running eastbound on Parkside Avenue.
Last week, Borough President Eric Adams and Councilman Mathieu Eugene held a press conference calling for an analysis of the area, asking for more street lights and surveillance cameras.
The borough president announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever's responsible.
