Brooklyn antique dealer says almost every item has a story
Mike Kollman, from I Like Mike's Mid Century Modern Furniture & Accessories in Bed-Stuy, says antiques most likely come with a story.
Kollman has over 3,000 items from all over the world, and his studio makes one feel like they’ve walked onto a set from the 1960s.
"You never know what's the next thing that is going to come through and what the story is," Kolman says.
For the past 11 years, Kollman has been collecting and repairing lighting, clocks, furniture and anything rare he can get his hands on.
"Everyone should have something that's different and means something to them. That's how you connect with other people and start a conversation," Kollman shares.
He's open on Saturdays for five hours, when people can come in and explore his studio.
