Federal officials say a gang member has been charged with attempted murder for the Canarsie shooting that injured an FBI agent on Saturday.
They say Ronell Watson, a member of the Crips street gang, was charged Monday.
The FBI says Watson approached the agent's vehicle on a one-way street, and opened fire after the agent drove away.
The FBI agent was struck in the torso before exiting his vehicle and returning fire. Officials say Watson was struck in the hand.
The FBI also charged a woman who shares a residence with Watson for making false statements about the shooting to the FBI, according to officials.
Watson was ordered held without bail at an afternoon court hearing.
