Urban fitness fans can rejoice because a giant rock-climbing gym in Bushwick is bringing the outdoors inside.
MetroRock Brooklyn on Starr Street is an exercise for both the mind and the body.
The rock-climbing gym aims for climbers to feel like they are out in nature, featuring plenty of natural light streaming in.
“It's like we want to mimic the outdoors, bring it to Bushwick," says assistant manager Esther Dionisio.
The cavernous space offers 50-foot walls, some of the tallest in New York City.
All levels and all ages are welcome to take a class, or just hit the wall.
For those who would rather climb solo, there’s also "bouldering," which is climbing without ropes on a shorter wall.
The Brooklyn location is the first MetroRock in New York City.
