BROOKLYN -

NYPD officers traded in their badges for superhero costumes on Saturday at the annual Patrol Borough Brooklyn North Holiday Sleigh Ride.

The sleigh ride made stops at several different areas around Brooklyn North.

Assistant Chief Jeffrey B. Maddrey was along for the ride.

Maddrey says that they made 10 stops in 10 different neighborhoods and gave out thousands of toys to children.

The event wrapped up around 5 p.m. Saturday.
