Police: Woman slashed in Crown Heights, suspect at large

An investigation is underway after police say a woman was slashed early this morning in Crown Heights.
Investigators say a woman was waiting for someone on Park Place when the suspect approached her. It is not known if anything was said to her before police say he slashed her.
Police say it all happened around 1:30 a.m.
That's when News 12 is told the woman in her 20s encountered the man who was wearing all gray with red construction boots.
He slashed her with a sharp object in her hands and may have grazed her forehead then ran off.
Police say she may have been defending herself against the attack.
Police have not recovered the object, so it's unclear exactly what he used.
The victim was taken to the hospital for an evaluation and is expected to be OK.
The suspect is at large.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
