Three people allegedly stole an MTA bus and took it for a joyride.
Police released video of the trio who are accused of taking the bus early Sunday morning from a depot in Cypress Hills at Williams Place and Herkimer Street.
One of the suspects can be seen hopping into the driver’s seat and driving away. Another suspect is seen keeping watch.
Officials say the two men along with a third suspect drove the bus about a mile and a half to Conduit Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue. Police say they left it there and ran off.
Police also say that they caused damage to the bus and also to another additional bus in the yard.
Police say this happened the same day that someone took an MTA bus on a joyride from the Bronx to Queens and back again. That bus was missing for about eight hours.
Anyone with information into these cases are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
