Sunset Park has always been a melting pot with generations of immigrants making their home there.
It gets its name from the 25-acre park that has spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline. It has had its share of up and downs though the years.

"When I came here, the neighborhood was really bad, there were gangs, there were a lot of drugs on the street,” said one resident.
It has always boasted itself as a diverse neighborhood with an influx of European, Latino and Asian immigrants.
Residents say that despite increasing rents, they are still surviving.
They say there are still new opportunities for business as well. Residents say they welcome the evolution.
