NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County is preparing for pandemic events or any other hazard with a mobile emergency department. Hospital officials say they need to be ready to expand into alternative care sites.

Doctors and nurses communicate with one another, using high-tech equipment inside the ER trailer, stabilizing patients one mannequin at a time.

Those involved with the drills say they were very helpful, feeling like they got direct experience into what working in a pandemic situation would be like.
