Holocaust survivors share stories with students at Sheepshead Bay school

Holocaust survivors met with students at James Madison High School to share their experiences Tuesday.
The discussion was organized with the help of Councilman Chaim Deutsch and the group, Project Witness.
One survivor says that even though she was liberated so many years ago, what happened to her has always stayed fresh in her mind. She says she was severely beaten once after she was caught trying to get food out of the garbage because she was starving.
Survivors say they were extremely thankful to still be able to share their stories.
