Firefighters spent nearly seven hours dousing 376 Vernon Ave. with water after a five-alarm fire broke out early Thursday morning.
Firefighters say the freezing temperatures caused them to take different precautions than normal. Firefighters rotated in and out of buses nearby to keep warm.
The building was unoccupied, and nobody was hurt. However, the area surrounding the building is iced over and the avenue is filled with debris.
There was no word on what started the fire.
