Police are searching for the suspect who robbed a Coney Island deli last week.
Officers say the suspect entered the Quick Stop Mini Mart and Deli on Coney Island Avenue just before 5 a.m. last Tuesday. They say he went behind the counter and stole about four cartons of cigarettes.
A 70-year-old man working in the store at the time tried to stop him and that's when police say the suspect shoved the worker to the ground.
Workers at the store didn't want to speak on camera, but News 12 is told the employee who was assaulted is OK.
Police say the suspect is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He may be wearing glasses.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
