Officials: Brooklyn man killed in police-involved shooting in Manhattan

Officials say an East New York man killed in a police-involved shooting Friday morning.
They say officers responded to a 911 call around 7 a.m. in which a man was allegedly attacking his domestic partner with a butcher knife in an apartment near the Manhattan Bridge on Cherry Street.
Officers say they fired a total of five shots and the attacker, identified as 32-year-old Joshua Rember Williams, emerged from a closet where he had been hiding and grabbed the knife.
Williams was pronounced dead at Beekman Downtown Hospital.
