BENSONHURST -

Police say they're searching for two people accused of burglarizing a mosque in Bensonhurst on Feb. 3.

They say the suspects forced their way through the front door of a mosque on West 8th Street. Surveillance footage shows a male and a female seen carrying a black book bag. The male suspect was last seen wearing a red baseball cap.

Police say it's unclear what they stole from the mosque, but once they got inside, they rampaged the office before fleeing.

It's also unclear if anyone was in the mosque at the time, as Friday is the Muslim day of worship.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
