Police say a man was shot along Anthony Avenue earlier Friday morning.

Police: 54-year-old man shot in the back near Anthony Avenue
Police say a man was shot along Anthony Avenue earlier Friday morning.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of Anthony Avenue and East Tremont Avenue.
It is still unclear what lead up to the shooting, but police tell News 12 they responded to a shooting just before 4 a.m. where a 54-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back.
Police say the victim ran into a deli after being shot, where he collapsed.
Investigators say the victim was sent to St. Barnabas Hospital and is in stable condition. 
No arrests have been made.
