MTA, DOT hold final Brooklyn L train open house
The MTA held an open house Tuesday to shed more light on its new plan to fix an L train tunnel.
The meeting took place at Grand Street Campus High School. People turned out to ask about the details of the new shutdown plan that will affect them.
MTA and Department of Transportation officials attended to provide answers, with posters on hand explaining the technical aspects of tunnel reconstruction. They also were armed with answers to the affects it will have on subway service.
The project is set to begin at the end of April.
Tuesday's open house was the final one held in Brooklyn. Anyone who could not attend has the chance to go to a Manhattan open house April 8.
