Heavy rains and clogged drains caused flooding and traffic issues on Route 22 in Bridgewater Friday morning.

The flooding caused vehicles to slow down and merge into one lane in the peak of the morning rush hour. The traffic was delayed for several miles.

Crews were able to open the drains just before noon allowing the water to recede.

Traffic was flowing again smoothly by Friday afternoon.
