Rep. Max Rose speaks with constituents at Bay Ridge town hall

Newly elected Rep. Max Rose was in Bay Ridge Saturday to host one of the first public town hall events of his term.
The meeting was held at Fort Hamilton High School. Dozens of people got the chance to ask the Democratic congressman questions abut immigration, the rise in hate crimes and transit issues.
Rose also faced criticism from attendees for not supporting health care for all. Rose said that he does stand for universal health care, but believes there are better options to consider.
The congressman is expected to hold more town hall meetings in the future. For now he says his focus is on fighting for the 9/11 Victims Compensation Funds.
