BROOKLYN -

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly threw a man onto the train tracks of the 95th Street R subway station.

They say it happened after an argument turned physical last Wednesday night.

Police say that witnesses helped the 29-year-old victim up to the platform, but once back up, the suspect proceeded to hit the victim with a metal lock that was attached to a string.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene after the incident. He was last seen wearing gray and blue gloves and is described to have a beard, mustache and long hair in a ponytail.
