Some tenants who live along Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights allege that their landlord is harassing them in an effort to force them out.

Neighbors gathered Saturday outside 826 Crown St. with a list of demands. People who attended live in multiple buildings owned by the same landlord, Barberry Rose Management Company, and they say their problems are the same: their doorbells are rung day and night in an attempt to convince them to move.

They also claim the landlord is neglecting necessary repairs, leaving leaks in windows and ceilings.

News 12 contacted the landlord for comment and is awaiting a response.

Residents say gentrification has become a painful process for those who've called the neighborhood home for decades.

Attendees at Saturday's rally are part of the Crown Heights Tenant Union. They say their power is in numbers, and say they'll keep coming together to fight for their rights.
