Police: Man wanted for robbing houses of worship near Williamsburg

Police are searching for a man they say stole money and supplies from three different synagogues last month.

They say the suspect stole over $1,000 in cash from houses of worship around Williamsburg.

Police tell News 12 the suspect went in through unsecured entrances of three synagogues and then removed cash and in some cases, office supplies from them.

In a fourth incident, police say the man went inside a Catholic church and stole $250 worth of office supplies.

The suspect was last seen leaving the scene of one of the robberies on March 12.
