Artist collective to celebrate grand opening of home goods store in Greenpoint

GREENPOINT -

Friend of All is a collective in Greenpoint that is changing the way artists sell their crafts by allowing them to run their businesses in a co-owned space.

The collective is comprised of 13 artists who have partnered together as members of the business to support each other’s dreams, with the goal of reducing the cost of owning a brick and mortar store.

The artist-run home goods store sells handmade lamps, paintings and other unique home decor. Many items are made right in the store.

"It's wonderful to have the support of all the other members and to be inspired by their process,” Flannery Cronin said, an artist and member of Friend of All. “We are a great resource for one another."

The owners will celebrate the store’s grand opening Friday.
