Best of the Bronx: 9-year-old uses music to fight bullying

A Bronx girl is using music to fight bullying.
The 9-year-old says music not only makes her happy but can be used to educate and make people feel better.
Alexis Harris doesn't like to see her friends bullied, and says she has been using rap music to make them feel better.

"One of my friends was getting bullied, and she said she was going to kill herself, but when I sang the song to her she said, ‘Thank you, now I’m more confident,’” says Harris.

The rapper and dancer says she is telling people to stand up for herself.

Harris says she has been on the receiving end of bullying and finds music can help victims feel better and teach them about how to live a better life.

"Adults can get bullied too like kids,” says Harris.

She says she plays music in her head when she is bullied, and the pain starts to go away.
She says she will continue to sing and make beats against bullies.
