Crown Heights building fire prompts evacuation

Posted: Updated:
CROWN HEIGHTS -

A fire in Crown Heights Sunday evening forced everyone inside the building to evacuate.

The fire started around 6:30 p.m. on the sixth floor of 769 St. Marks Ave.

Crews managed to quickly put the flames out, and people were allowed to go back inside a couple of hours later.

People living there say there's a lot of water damage inside the building, but they are just grateful everyone made it out.

No one was injured in the fire.
