BOROUGH PARK -

The woman arrested for allegedly hitting a 14-year-old girl with her car and leaving the scene has died.

A close friend of the woman told News 12 Julia Litmanovich died from complications from a brain tumor on May 5.

Litmanovich was charged in connection to the March hit-and-run incident where she allegedly hit the teen crossing 47th Street.

Her friend believes Litmanovich did not know she hit the girl and says she would have never intentionally done so as her own mother was killed in a hit-and-run.
