BKLYN Blend serves up smoothies, good vibes in Bed-Stuy

BKLYN Blend in Bedford-Stuyvesant is not your average juice bar.
Besides offering a whole menu of healthy options with some influences from Trinidad, the family-owned business infuses together parts of Brooklyn.
In 2016, father and son Ralph and Keishon Warren built Brooklyn Blend - literally.
"We decided to take different parts of Brooklyn to build the space,” Keishon Warren said, “So we have the Coney Island boardwalk on the outside. Different buildings in the city that was demolished, we used their beams to build the tables, the flooring, everything is reclaimed wood, specifically from Brooklyn."
BKLYN Blend infuses together different parts of Brooklyn, not just in the walls that hold the place up but also in its menu.

"We incorporated some of the major neighborhoods in our menu so you have the Park Slope salmon sandwich, you have the Tompkins sandwich," Warren said.
That Park Slope salmon sandwich is a customer favorite.
What makes the Park Slope salmon sandwich unique is that the fish is cold-smoked before being baked in the oven
Regulars say they keep coming back not just because they love the juices, smoothies and fresh ingredients, but also because of this environment.

One told News 12, "I think this place is Brooklyn; you've got different people coming and everyone is polite and I think it's neat that each of the items represent a different section of Brooklyn."
