BROOKLYN -

A heartbroken family gathered Thursday to say happy birthday and to keep the memory of 28-year-old Evvon Alexander alive.

Police say he was struck by a drunk driver while on his motorcycle Monday while making a left turn on to Beverly Road from Ocean Parkway.

The driver, Jasmine Morales Cruz, 23, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and DWI.

Thursday would have been Alexander’s 29th birthday. His family gathered a makeshift memorial to him along the parkway.

Alexander leaves behind a daughter and was awaiting the birth of his son.
