Scouts from Brooklyn collecting cellphones to help soldiers overseas

A Brooklyn Boy Scout and his team are collecting gently used cellphones to donate to soldiers overseas.
So far, Nicholas Podias and his fellow scouts from from St. Anselm Scout Troops have collected 30 phones to donate. They're aiming to collect 200.
Cell Phones For Soldiers is a nonprofit organization that works to provide cost-free communication services for active-duty military members and veterans. Anyone can donate gently used phones, tablets, MP3 players or iPods.
The troops plan on recycling every device that will then be exchanged for phone cards that will be given to active duty soldiers so they can call their families at home.
The St. Anselm Boy Scouts plan on doing four more donation drives throughout the month to reach their goal.
