Police are asking the public to help locate a missing young girl and her mother who have not been seen since Thursday evening.
Investigators say Joelle Hatch, 7, and her mother Tiffany, 35, had been staying in a homeless shelter in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
According to police sources, the mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. They also say she is reportedly nine months pregnant.
Police say that the case doesn’t appear to be the result of a domestic dispute or custody battle. Hatch has no history of going missing.
Authorities are urging anyone who has seen the mother and daughter to call police.
