A Brooklyn man was killed during an attempted robbery in Manhattan, according to police.

Charles Reynoso was a week away from his 25th birthday.

Investigators say it happened Saturday morning on West 166th Street in Washington Heights, Manhattan around 5 a.m.

When police arrived, they say they found Reynoso with a gunshot wound to his head.

EMS took Reynoso to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say Reynoso was in a group with four other people on 166th Street when several men approached the group to rob them. The 24-year-old was shot in the process.

Police say they are searching for at least three suspects in connection with the incident.
