A longtime frame shop in Cobble Hill is partnering with a New England-based company to offer digitized versions of precious old video and photographs.
EverPresent, which is based in Boston, digitizes the old photos and videos. It chose Make a Frame on Atlantic Avenue as one of its delivery locations.
Make a Frame has been open since 1978.
Customers contact EverPresent and are assigned a consultant. Once the order is wrapped up, the customer can take it to the Brooklyn shop instead of mailing their precious items.
“I think having the personalized touch of a dropoff space, as opposed to just shipping it in the mail and not having that confidence that it's being handled properly, these are irreplaceable items but that's the kind of stuff we deal with at the frame shop all the time,” says Thoren Vadala, Make A Frame owner.
