Police: 11-year-old boy shot in Crown Heights

An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in Brooklyn Thursday night, police say.

An 11-year-old boy was in critical but stable condition after being shot in Brooklyn Thursday night, police say.
Authorities say it happened just after 7 p.m. at Schenectady and Brooklyn avenues. They say the boy was shot in the shoulder and underwent surgery at Kings County Hospital.
A man in his 30s was shot in the knee and taken to Kings County Hospital.
Police say both victims were unintended targets in the shooting.
Police had a person of interest in custody.
