A terrifying scene was caught on camera Sunday as a man was shot in the head in Sheepshead Bay.
Police say the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident around 12 p.m.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows a man pointing what appears to be a gun at a white Hyundai at the intersection of Avenue T and East 19th Street.
Police say the shooter got out of a black Honda Accord, and started shooting at the Hyundai numerous times.
The shooting continued even as the driver drove off.
Investigators say a 39-year-old man, who was in the passenger seat, was hit by one of the bullets in the left side of his head. The driver of the car took him to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
Police are searching for the shooter, who was seen driving in the black Honda Accord Sport.
Police tell News 12 the car did not have a license plate on the front or back but did have a temporary plate in the upper right side of the rear window.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
