A funeral was held Saturday for a premature baby who was found abandoned in East New York back in February.
The 5-month-old fetus was found on Bradford Street.
The Life Center of New York organized the Mass and burial. Many people came together at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bay Ridge for the ceremony.
NYPD officers were on hand to serve as pallbearers.
The Life Center called the medical examiner, so they could give her a proper burial and gave the baby the name Monica.
Baby Monica will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island where they have a guardian angel section – an area set aside for babies have been abandoned and passed away.
