Heavy rain and winds brought down trees and wires in Bay Ridge on Saturday.
Mitch Midura tells News 12 that large branches crashed down on his car and his property on 83rd Street.
He says firetrucks blocked his street and broken cables were hanging in front of his house. A branch also shattered the back window of his car and another fell on a car parked nearby.
Midura has lived in Bay Ridge for 40 years and says he's never had any problems like this. He has no cable TV or internet because wires have been broken but says he's happy that nobody was hurt.
The city's Park Department told News 12 they've sent crews to clear two trees that were downed and will work to clear up the rest of the debris left by the storm.
