Road Trip: Brooklyn Bridge Park

The viewers have spoken, and Brooklyn Bridge Park is this week's winner of News 12's Road Trip!
Brooklyn Bridge Park is an oasis to New Yorkers looking for greenery.

"For me, it's just the environment in general, I like to be able to be in open spaces,” says Lameek Russell, of Queens.

It has lots of activities at its six pier locations from Jane's Carousel to soccer and basketball.

"Not only is it one of the coolest parks to play ball in, from the water you get a nice breeze, also there's a lot of competition so you get to improve your game,” says Cameron Singh, of Flatbush.

Visitors like Gazal Jain, visiting from the United Kingdom, came for the sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

“I just think the skyline…is beautiful and it reminds me a lot of London as well, and it's just really, really nice,” says Jain. “It's just very pretty and I think I like looking at New York, away from New York a little bit as well.”

The park is easily accessible by ferry, subway or by bike.
