Police hope video footage will ID suspects wanted in connection to death of man in Brighton Beach

Police have released video footage to help identify two people wanted for questioning in connection to the death of a 52-year-old man who was found dead in Brighton Beach.

Officials say that on July 9, they responded to an assault at Riegelman Boardwalk East and Brighton 6th Street around 5:45 p.m.

When they arrived, they say they found Dimitry Goldfarb lying on the ground with head trauma. EMS transported Goldfarb to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to a preliminary investigation, police say the Goldfarb was punched in the head by an unknown man who fled the scene on foot with an unidentified female.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
