A Russian language radio station broadcasting from New York City is hosting a unique classified ad show with the goal to help Russian speakers who have trouble selling their goods online.
The radio station is in disbelief with some of the hilarious calls they get.
Items can range from the ordinary to super luxurious to outrageous. One caller tried to sell an airplane. Another listener is offering a Labrador puppy.
“CHO” airs weekdays at 2 p.m. on Radio Freeform FM, a Russian language station that has only been on the air for a few months.
Founder Michael Novakhov says they already have loyal listeners from around the city - and even the world.
“It’s the only Russian FM radio station in New York," says Novakhov.
There’s also a morning news show and an evening family show hosted by a husband and wife.
“We all came here for more freedom,” says Novakhov. “And our antenna is located at the top of the Freedom Tower.”
