NFL stars team up with organization to inspire children of incarcerated parents

It was an exciting day for children from across the city who met with NFL players during their summer camp.
The goal of the event is to motivate, inspire and show children of incarcerated parents that they can break the cycle.
The event kicked off with a little motivation from former New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts player and Brooklyn native Keith Elias.
The campers are part of Children of Promise NYC, an organization that offers after school programs and mental health clinics year-round as well as summer camps for children who have parents in prison.
"It's just a phenomenal experience for our young people to engage with the pros who are dedicating their time and their efforts today to show them that they are loved and that they care," says Sharon Content, of Children of Promise NYC.
This fall, Children of Promise NYC is opening a site on Webster Avenue in the South Bronx.
The organization says 200 children will be accepted into the program.
