A basketball tournament was held on Saturday in honor of two Brooklyn residents fatally shot by police.
The annual "Hoops for Justice" event was started in 2013 by the families of Shantel Davis and Kimani Gray to bring together youth, community leaders and organizations to make a difference.
Davis was killed in 2012 and Gray in 2013.
Their families tell News 12 that they are upset the officers responsible were not held accountable and now they are pushing for more police accountability and social justice in the community.
They hope that the tournament will help in their push for change.
Organizers created a GoFundMe page two months ago. They were able to raise about $3,000 to put on the event.
