BENSONHURST -

Police say they're searching for a man who slashed someone and tried to break into a house last Monday in Bensonhurst.

They say the suspect got into an argument with another man inside a construction site around 7 a.m. Police say things got heated, and the suspect grabbed a sharp object to slash the victim across the face then ran away.

Officials say the suspect then tried to enter a private home through a side window, but couldn't get in.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
