Multiple law enforcement sources confirm an eighth NYPD officer has committed suicide.

Sources tell News 12 he is a 35-year-old NYPD officer assigned to the Yankee Stadium detail.

Sources say the officer took his own life overnight in his home in Yonkers.

In addition, a Yonkers Police Department spokesman confirmed they are conducting a death investigation of a male resident that appears to be a suicide.
