A woman is wanted for snatching another woman's purse in Sunset Park.

Police say it happened on Sunday, Aug. 11 on 5th Avenue between 39th and 40th streets.

News 12 is told the victim, a 62-year-old woman, was sitting at a bus stop in front of 3908 5th Ave. around 2:30 p.m. when a woman walked up and ripped her purse from her lap.

In a video released by the NYPD, the alleged thief is seen walking up to the bus stop. She is seen struggling with someone and is then seen grabbing a bag and running away.

No one was hurt. However, police say there was about $75, some ID cards and two cartons of cigarettes inside the purse.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
