FDNY, NYPD face off at 20th annual Baseball Classic at MCU Park

Two of the city's top agencies headed to the baseball diamond hoping to take home the title and earn some bragging rights all while raising money for widows and children of fallen firefighters and police officers.
The 20th Annual NYPD vs. FDNY Heroes Baseball Classic was held Friday night at MCU Park in Coney Island.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the annual charity game.

"This year we’ve lost three more members to line of duty deaths. We've lost another 22 to World Trade Center deaths and more are getting sick every year. So, to be able to play this game [and] raise money for the charities for the kids of our fallen members, it's definitely an honor,” says Lt. Daniel Quinn, of the FDNY team.
