A Coney Island resident says her building has been neglecting serious issues in her apartment that are causing molding issues.
Laniece Jarrels told News 12 she has been dealing with issues inside her apartment for the past 2 1/2 years.
Jarrels shared a video with News 12 showing water pouring from her ceiling into her apartment and says it happens often.
"I see water just coming from the cabinets, coming down all over the countertop, everywhere. Mold everywhere," said Jarrels.
She says many of her belongings have been ruined, but she has bigger concerns for her health and the health of her four children.
Jarrels says she has called management countless of times but the leaks persist. She says the cost of replacing the damaged items is too much.
Other neighbors told News 12 off camera there are similar issues around the entire building with leaks.
Jarrels says she hopes her sharing her story will prompt action.
News 12 reached out to the property managers for comment, but has not yet received a response.
