Police: Man wanted in more than a dozen burglaries in Brooklyn

Police say a man is wanted for burglarizing over a dozen homes in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights.
Officers say the alleged thief has stolen from 15 homes since July and has made off with more than $260,000 worth in cash, jewelry and electronics.
Officials say the first robbery was on July 10 and the most recent was on Aug. 28. in a home near 78th Street and 11th Avenue.
Authorities say on Monday he also went into a home near 88th Street and Battery Avenue but was confronted by someone inside the home and took off.
The thief appears to be targeting homes in these areas at all times of the day, according to police.
The suspect has been able to access  homes and apartments through unlocked windows, doors, by climbing a fire escape and, in at least one instance, by removing an air conditioner from a window.
In the most recent raid, police say the man used a ladder to climb into a home through a back window while the homeowners were asleep inside. They say he got away with about $75,000 worth of jewelry.
Surveillance has captured images of the suspect that police are searching for.
