Red carpet rolled out in Morrisania for first day of school

It is back to school for all public schools, and one school in Morrisania is welcoming their students in a special way.
P.S. 132 rolled out the red carpet for students and parents as the new school year officially kicks off.
News 12 is told it is the first year the school has done the red carpet as a way to motivate students.
The school’s principal, Dr. Riley, tells News 12 students can expect more holiday parties this year, but also says the school’s focus and priority is to make students feel safe as their growing and learning.
This year, the principal says they've partnered up with two organizations that will give students an opportunity to sign up for swimming lessons and capoeira.
