Mayor's office sues Chipotle over violations of city's Fair WorkWeek Law

Mayor Bill De Blasio's office and the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection are suing Chipotle over widespread violations of the city's Fair WorkWeek Law.

The legislation requires predictable schedules in the fast food and retail industries, as well as a pathway to stable, full-time employment.

De Blasio said that "no corporation can get away with blatantly violating the rights of New York City workers without consequences."

De Blasio said Chipotle must immediately stop its unfair labor practices and put its employees above profit.
