A young Brooklyn actress is building quite a resume -- and she's done it at just 12 years old.
Ana-Sofia Rodriguez is taking the world by storm with her singing and acting skills, which have landed her in off-broadway shows, movies and TV.
Rodriguez discovered her love for singing at the age of three, and has since traveled the country. Growing up in Bay Ridge, Rodriguez honed her skills training in musical theater at local acting schools.
"My mom would put music on and and then I would just sing to it, and my mom was like 'Oh yea, she wants to be a singer,'" says Rodriguez. "And then a few years later I got really into the music, and my mom was like 'wait, oh, you really like this.' So she enrolled me to Dimension On Stage and I did my first little play."
Some of her work includes an appearance in a a Sesame Street special, performing on "La Voz Kids," the Spanish version of "The Voice" and she recently finished a national tour of the off-broadway show "A Little Princess."
Rodriguez, now in seventh grade, is determined to make her mark on the world, with no plans of slowing down.
"I love everything I do, but I also love TV and I love being in front of the cameras," says Rodriguez "It feels amazing because you just getting a small opportunity can make such a big difference in your life."
